Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang meets Japanese Ambassador in Vietnam
(BNP) - On November 25, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee met Mr. Yamada Takio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam to promote Japanese trade investment activities in Bac Ninh.

On behalf of Bac Ninh’s delegations, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang briefed on outstanding achievements of the province's socio-economic development over the past years. Thanks to favorable geopolitical location, and attractive investment policies, so far, Bac Ninh has become a dynamic development locality with many leading indicators across the country. Currently, Bac Ninh province has attracted more than 1,600 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly USD 20 billion USD including large enterprises and corporations from 37 countries and territories around the world. Among which, there are 95 projects from Japan with a total investment of nearly USD 1.5 billion.
On the other hand, the province also carried out many solutions to improve the business investment environment; such as administrative reform, administrative procedures shortening; vocational training, which help to improve Provincial Competitiveness Index of Bac Ninh province to the 4th nationwide as a result.
She hoped that the Ambassador would act as the bridge to connect the province with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI) and other organizations to introduce Bac Ninh’s image to Japanese enterprises so as to call for investment in the province.
With the motto "Bac Ninh always accompany the business, the success of enterprises is also the success of the province", the Chairwoman affirmed to create most favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to invest in the province.
Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio expressed his impression of the outstanding socio-economic achievements of Bac Ninh province in recent years. In the coming time, he suggested that the province build Japanese-language information channels to introduce Bac Ninh’s cultural images and people as well as its strengths and investment potentials to Japan’s people and investors; expand Japanese language training programs in educational institutions, and facilitate Japanese experts to enter Bac Ninh.
The Ambassador also wished to hold a cultural exchange event between Japan and Bac Ninh province to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Japan, thereby strengthening the relationship between Japan and Bac Ninh province.
