Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang receives Bac Giang delegation

Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang presents a traditional gift to Chairman Duong Van Thai.

On behalf of Bac Giang delegation, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Thai said that in recent years, Bac Giang province has focused on the construction of IV beltway (Hanoi) through the territory of Viet Yen and Hiep Hoa districts connecting with Hanoi city via a bridge over Cau River in Bac Phu commune, Soc Son district, thereby connecting with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway.

At the meeting, Bac Giang province proposed a plan and investment policy to build two bridges over Cau River to connect IV beltway between Bac Giang province and Bac Ninh province including overpass and connecting path between Viet Yen district with Northwest urban area, Bac Ninh city; overpass and connecting path between IV beltway (Hanoi) in Dong Lo commune, Hiep Hoa district and Yen Phong I Industrial Park. At the same time, Bac Giang delegation also requested Bac Ninh province to supplement the construction planning of 02 bridges over the Cau river and links to serve the orientation of transport infrastructure development, promote socio-economic development of the two provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang agreed with the policy of constructing 02 bridges over Cau River in order to create motivation for socio-economic development as well as trade promotion between the two localities.

She suggested provincial departments and agencies coordinate with relevant agencies of Bac Giang province to consider and unify the scale of the project to ensure long-term strategic vision as well as supplement the Cau river embankment planning to exploit the tourism potential of Cau River.
