Delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs works in Bac Ninh

(BNP) – On June 17, a delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the National Border Committee, Chairman of Viet Nam National Commission for UNESCO worked in Bac Ninh.

Overview of the meeting.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; Ms. Dao Hong Lan Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang Chairwoman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung Chairman of Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary Dao Hong Lan announced that inheriting the development achievements of previous years, the province's socio-economic continued to achieve impressive results with many leading indicators nationwide. With the concern of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in recent years the province organized many delegations to go abroad to promote cooperation in many fields such as investment attraction, commerce, services and culture.

She suggested Ministry of Foreign Affairs help the province in promoting investment and commerce as well as introducing the province’s image, culture and tourism with countries and territories around the world; establishing cooperative relationships at the local level with foreign partners; urging UNESCO to soon recognize "Dong Ho folk paintings" as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.

Highly appreciating Bac Ninh province's achievements, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung introduced foreign cooperation channels, investment attraction from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan,... so that Bac Ninh province could seize opportunities, expand investment cooperation in the next time.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien expressed his hope to receive the support from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expand and develop cooperative relations with localities, foreign partners.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and the delegation visited 02 FDI companies; Phat Tich Temple in Tien Du district; Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk theater, International Friendship Park in Bac Ninh city; and Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center in Thuan Thanh district.
