Department of Health deploys plan to implement National Strategy on Antimicrobial Resistance Prevention and Control
(BNP) – The Department of Health has just issued Document on the implementation of the Provincial People's Committee's plan to implement the National Strategy on Antimicrobial Resistance Prevention and Control for the 2023-2030 period, vision to 2045 in the province.

The Department of Health requests medical examination and treatment facilities in the province to organize propaganda, dissemination and implementation of contents according to plan No. 243/KH-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee.
Regarding participation in the human drug resistance surveillance system, the Department of Health assigns the Provincial General Hospital to participate in 2025; the Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to participate in 2030.
Regarding setting targets and implementing plans to control the level of drug resistance of common pathogenic bacteria in hospitals; assessing compliance with good practices on infection prevention and control and biosafety in hospitals, provincial level to reach at least 40% by 2025 and 70% by 2030; district level to reach at least 20% by 2025 and 40% by 2030.
For the implementation of microbiological techniques for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of drug resistance in hospitals, the provincial level will reach at least 40% by 2025 and 70% by 2030; the district level will reach at least 15% by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
Regarding the implementation of active surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and implementation of interventions to reduce hospital infection rates, the provincial level will reach at least 50% by 2025 and 80% by 2030; the district level will reach at least 20% by 2025 and 40% by 2030.
The Department of Health requests the Provincial Center for Disease Control to coordinate with the provincial media agencies to widely disseminate the content of the Plan on the industry's newsletter and on mass media.
