The program includes two main activities: the exhibition “Echoes of the Great Victory of Spring 1975 in cinema” and a film screening program in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities.
The exhibition “Echoes of the Great Victory of Spring 1975 in cinema” is scheduled to open on April 5 at 23/9 Park, Ho Chi Minh city. It displays about 300 printed photos extracted from archived and collected documents and cinematographic works, along with some images of people, life, and integration and development of Ho Chi Minh city. Exhibition themes include: “Cinema with historical moments”, “Ho Chi Minh Campaign - Great Victory of Spring 1975”, “Saigon - Ho Chi Minh city through the perspective of cinema”.
The film screening program is scheduled to start on April 21 in Hanoi city and on April 7, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh city. The content introduces to the audience documentaries and feature films on historical topics, revolutionary wars, cultural and social life to recreate important events of the nation, realistically portraying the sacrifices, contributions and indomitable spirit of previous generations in the cause of national liberation and unification. It helps spread the historical and cultural values of archived film documents and materials to the general public.
Within the framework of the events, there will be exchanges between the audience and filmmakers, film experts, and historical witnesses to clarify the historical, cultural, and ideological values reflected in cinema. At the same time, it will allow the younger generation to express their gratitude for the sacrifices of their ancestors, and raise awareness of the responsibility to preserve and promote national traditions.
The program aims to exploit, popularize, preserve and spread the historical and cultural values of archived film documents and materials. Therefore, it awakens and promotes the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and the will to fight and win of our people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
