First competition day of Boxing event of SEA Games 31
(BNP) – On the evening of May 16, at the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium in Bac Ninh province, the content of knockout round of Boxing event was took place.
The match between the Singapore team and the Philippines team.
The Boxing event of SEA Games 31 had the participation of 10 sports delegations with nearly 300 officials, supervisors, referees, staff, coaches, athletes from: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Timor Leste, Myanmar and Vietnam.
On May 16, the audience witnessed the matches of the teams: Thailand, Timor Leste, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Athlete Ian Clark Bautista Pedres of the Philippines team won 5-0 against Mohamed Hanurdeen Bin Hamid of the Singapore team (under 57kg); Athlete James Palicte Melos of the Philippines team won 4-1 against athlete Vu Thanh Dat of the Vietnamese team (under 63kg); Athlete Sheikh Rahmatullah Bin Ibrahim of the Malaysian team lost to Sao Rangsey of the Cambodian team (under 57kg) with a score of 0-5; Athlete Bui Phuoc Tung lost to athlete Peerapat Yeasungnoen of the Thai team (under 75kg) with a score of 1-4; Malaysia's Muhamad Firdaus Bin Kamaruizaman lost 0-5 to Timor Leste's Delio Anzaqeci Mouzinho (under 75kg); Cambodia's Hun Kimheang won by knockout, Myanmar's Ye Win Naing (under 75kg).
The Boxing event of the 31st SEA Games will take place from May 15-22 at the Bac Ninh Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.
