Cao Lo Vuong Temple - an attractive tourist destination in Gia Binh
Gia Binh district has advantages to exploit and develop resort eco-tourism, forming large-scale amusement and entertainment zones and spots, which focus on two areas of strength: historical relics and village space. This is the goal identified by Gia Binh district in the project of developing ecological and spiritual tourism in the period of 2020-2030.
With 68 historical and cultural relics that have been ranked by the state, Gia Binh's relic system is rich in quantity, diverse in types, unique in value... of which there are 10 national relics, 58 provincial-level relics. There are many unique and pristine relics such as the stone dragon statue and the temple of Le Van Thinh, Cao Lo Vuong's tomb, Tam Phu temple and hundreds of large and small festivals such as Thap Dinh festival (Dong Cuu), Cao Lo Vuong temple festival (Cao Duc), Dai Bi pagoda festival (Thai Bao) ... In addition, there are landmarks and trophies marking revolutionary history in the resistance wars such as Victory Monument Dao Bridge, Cau Khoai victory stele, Huong Trien flagpole, etc.
On the other hand, Gia Binh has many scenic spots and beautiful landscapes, typically the Thien Thai mountain range (Dong Cuu commune), stretching along the red Thien Duc river.
Especially, Gia Binh is also known for many traditional handicraft villages such as: Dai Bai bronze casting, Xuan Lai bamboo, Mon Quang conical hat (Lang Ngam), silkworm raising and weaving silk in Ngam Luong village (Lang Ngam). ... with a wide variety of unique artistic products…
An important destination in Gia Binh is Nguyet Ban beach - Binh Than wharf. More than 700 years ago, in the winter of 1282, a meeting of princes, nobles and high-ranking generals of the Tran dynasty was held to discuss strategies to fight the Nguyen-Mong invaders.
Every year, Gia Binh attracts thousands of visitors. Therefore, spiritual tourism development is the right direction to meet the needs of learning about history, customs, practices and beliefs through the relics and festivals as well as help tourists to relax.
Understanding the importance of tourism development, Gia Binh district actively implemented and proposed a number of strategic solutions commensurate with the existing potential. In the fort coming time, the district will focus on restoration and embellishment of relics, construction of a lake to regulate the Thien Thai ecological zone in Dong Cuu commune; construction of tours at historical sites: Temple of Le Van Thinh - Le Chi Vien - Dai Bi Pagoda - Tomb and Cao Lo Vuong Temple - Tam Phu Temple...
The district also formulates and approves Gia Binh tourism development project in the period of 2020 - 2025; complete and put into operation the cultural, spiritual and ecological tourist complex along the Duong River in association with the development of craft village tourism; republish and supplement documents on historical and cultural relics of Gia Binh and introduce typical relics serving spiritual tours in the district.
At the same time, the district has also promoted the socialization of culture and sports, encouraged and facilitated the mobilization of capital sources for the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values associated with tourism activities, thus advertising the image of Gia Binh land and people.
