Index of industrial production increases by 12.59% over same period
(BNP) - According to information from the General Statistics Office, the index of industrial production (IIP) in January 2025 decreased significantly compared to the previous month (because this year’s January coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday), but increased quite high compared to the same period.

Compared to January 2024, the IIP of the entire industry increased by 12.59%, of which: processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.61%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 0.9% and water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment increased by 28.17%.
Compared to December 2024, the IIP of the entire industry decreased by 15.51%; but there were still many industrial products with increased production levels, including 3 key products: Smartphones (up 22.4%); Smart watches (up 30.1%) and Phone batteries of all kinds (up 8.7%).
