Labor Usage Index of industrial enterprises tends to decrease

(BNP) - In order to improve the quality of products, to increase competitiveness, some enterprises expand the application of automation technology to replace labor in some stages, so the labor usage index has recently tended to fall for recent months.

As of September 1st, the labor usage of industrial enterprises has decreased by 0.9% over the same period last month and 6.9% year-on-year.

Generally, for 9 months, the labor usage index of the industrial sector has still edged up 3.2% over the same period. Particularly, FDI enterprises increased by 3.5%, state-owned enterprises raised by 4.8%, and non-state enterprises climbed by 0.8%.
