National U23 Fencing Championship in 2022 closes

The Organizing Committee awarded medals to athletes who excelled in the men's sword slash team content.

After 6 days (August 12 - 17) of competition, 136 athletes from 8 provinces, cities and industries across the country competed their best, dedicating exciting and dramatic matches.

At the end of the tournament, Hanoi team ranked first in the whole team with 5 golds, 6 silvers, 6 bronze medals; ranked second is Ho Chi Minh City with 2 golds, 3 silvers, 2 bronze medals; ranked third is the Public Security with 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze medals.

Bac Ninh has 19 athletes participating in 6 out of 12 contents, winning 01 gold and 2 bronze medals (ranked 6th in the whole team), reaching the target set by the Training Board. Of which, 01 gold medal in the women's sword slashing team competition belongs to athletes: Truong Thi Hong Tham, Phuong Ngoc Anh, Le Thi Thinh, and Phan Thi Yen Nhi. 01 bronze medal in the individual men's sword slashing content of athlete Le Ba Long; 1 bronze medal in the men's sword slashing team event belonged to athletes: Le Ba Long, Nguyen Tuan Anh Kiet, Pham Hoang Tuan Hai, Nguyen Van Long.

The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to compete, learn and share experiences. It is an opportunity to select excellent athletes to the National fencing team participating in regional and international tournaments.
