Nearly 2 million copies of books on display at Book and Reading Culture Day 2023

Provincial leaders cut ribbon to open Book and Reading Culture Day.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phung Duc Chien, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Nghiem Dinh Trung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Ms. Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Nguyen, Director of the Department of Publication and Distribution (Ministry of Information and Communications); leaders of departments, branches, provincial branches, districts, towns and cities, together with a large number of teachers and students in Bac Ninh city.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Bac Ninh province in 2023 has the theme "Books: Awareness - Innovation - Creation". This is one of the important activities to honor the value, affirm the role and importance of books in social life, encourage and develop the reading movement in the community.

Taking place in 3 days from April 14 to 16, Book and Reading Culture Day included main activities such as: Organization of exhibition areas, books introduction; book donation; exchange and discussion with speakers, authors and readers; performing arts, folk games...

This year's Book and Reading Culture Day had nearly 20 publishers, book publishing companies, cultural and media companies, and a number of provincial departments and agencies, with more than 40 exhibition booths; introduced more than 100,000 book titles with nearly 2 million copies of books on display, with diverse and rich topics in different fields.

In addition, book-issuing units also implemented many special promotions, discounts, and gifts for readers when visiting and buying books.

After cutting the ribbon to open the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Bac Ninh province in 2023, the leaders, delegates and a large number of students visited the book display and activities at the program.
