Nearly 800 students of Lim Secondary School in Tien Du district experience “One day as firefighter”

(BNP) – On October 25, Provincial Children’s Activity Center (Provincial Youth Union), the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting, and Rescue (Department) (Provincial Public Security), and Education and Training Department of Tien Du district jointly organized an experience program “One day as firefighter” for nearly 800 students of Lim Secondary School in Tien Du district.

At the program, the students were propagated and disseminated the basic knowledge about fire prevention and fighting, drowning prevention as well as skills to handle and escape when a fire occurs by the officers of the Department. At the same time, they experienced “One day as firefighter” with activities such as: escape from toxic air and smoke; how to use the on-site firefighting equipment (ways to recognize and use fire extinguishers); handle fires from gas cylinders, gasoline and other materials; escape by a fire engine…

The program is an annual activity with the aim of helping students understand the daily job of a firefighter; raising their awareness and responsibilities for fire prevention and fighting, and having skills to protect themselves in daily life.

At the same time, it widely disseminates to students for fire prevention, fighting and rescue in the district as well as promotes the movement of all people participating in fire prevention and fighting to ensure life safety for themselves and their families.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee handed over the Fire Safety Regulations to Lim Secondary School. It served the work of instructing teachers and students in fire prevention and fighting. Furthermore, 5 gift sets were awarded to students in difficult circumstances striving to study well.
