Nhu Nguyet village's traditional celebration commemorates the Ly army and people's heroic victory over the invading Song army on the Nhu Nguyet front (Cau River) in 1077. Nhu Nguyet's triumph, like that of Bach Dang, Chi Lang, Xuong Giang, and Ngoc Hoi Dong Da, will be remembered as a source of national pride for the Vietnamese people. The epic lyric "Nam Quoc Son Ha" is reported to have resounded in the boiling war atmosphere, urging and cheering on our army and people's desire to fight and win. The poem was recorded in history as our country's first declaration of independence.
