(BNP) – In the evening of June 10th, at Provincial Gymnasium, Vietnam Volleyball Federation in coordination with Provincial People's Committee and Lien Viet Post Bank held an opening ceremony of U19 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship - LienVietPostBank Cup 2018.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Eom Han Joo, Chief Supervisor of Asian Volleyball Confederation to the tournament; Mr. Tran Duc Phan, Deputy General Director of General Department of Sports and Physical Training (under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); Mr. Le Van Thanh, President of Vietnam Volleyball Federation; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang, Chairman of Board of Directors of Lien Viet Post Joint Stock Commercial Bank.
Regarding Bac Ninh’s delegates, there were comrades: Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Members; Nguyen Huu Quat, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Dao Hong Lan, Alternate Member of Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of Provincial People's Council; former leaders of the province throughout periods; members of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, districts, town, city and a great number of fans in and outside the province.

U19 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship - 2018 LienVietPostbank Cup, taken place on June 10-17 at the Gymnasiums of the province and of Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Training, attracted 15 youth teams of Australia, China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Taipei (China), Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Macao (China), Hong Kong (China), New Zealand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Teams divided into 4 groups A, B, C, D plays a round of scoring to select the best teams in the quarterfinals, semi-finals and final. After the draw, the host country of Vietnam is placed in Group A, considered as a “dead” battle, with other strong teams such as China, Thailand, and Japan.

Speaking of the participation of teams in the tournament, Mr. Le Tri Truong, General Secretary of Vietnam Volleyball Federation, estimated: "The tournament in 2018 attracts very strong competitors of the Vietnam youth team such as China, Korea, Japan, and Thailand. In order to achieve the goal of reaching the top 06 of the tournament, the National Youth Team of Vietnam has selected the best athletes of the clubs all over the country, who were highly appreciated by the organizers on their skills and profession. Therefore, the tournament is expected to offer fans and TV audiences very good, exciting and dramatic matches.
U19 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship held in Bac Ninh for the first time is an opportunity to introduce and promote the images of Bac Ninh people to domestic and international friends, dedicating to strengthening the friendship among nations in the region.
