Promote application of science and technology into agricultural production

Up to now, in the field of cultivation, the province has 05 safe rice production areas with total area of 110 hectares (ha) according to the VietGAP standard, concentrating in Yen Phong district, Luong Tai district, Que Vo district, Bac Ninh city and Tu Son town. The main product is high quality rice. Besides, the province also has 07 safe vegetable production areas with a total area of 26.6ha, among which, greenhouse area and net house area accounted for about 18.0ha. Main products are perilla, green asparagus, vegetable tastes, tomatoes, cucumbers, vegetables of all kinds and concentrated in Tien Du district, Luong Tai district, Gia Binh district and Thuan Thanh district. 01 facility manufactures potato from tissue culture tubers with an area of 0.2 ha in Que Vo district.

In addition, 13 high-class flower production facilities have been formed with a total area of 1.8ha, manufacturing in net houses and greenhouses. Main products were orchids, lily, roses, daisies… and so on.

About breeding, the models of high-tech livestock production in livestock have been focused on construction and wide-spread. Through high-tech production models, it has created conditions for technical staff and producers to approach and grasp advanced science and technology and advanced production technology in the country and around the world, contributing to promoting livestock production in the province in the direction of merchandise and modern.

Currently, 80% of aquaculture households in the province have installed a fan system, aeration system to create oxygen in the pond, especially some households have boldly invested and applied information technology into the production.
