Provincial leader visits the high-tech agriculture model in Tien Du and Thuan Thanh districts

(BNP) – Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee visited the high-tech agricultural experiment zone in Viet Doan Commune, Tien Du District and DELCO Smart Farm, in Quan Tranh hamlet, Nguyet Duc commune, Thuan Thanh district.

The provincial leaders visit the orchid production zone in the greenhouse at the high-tech agricultural experiment zone.

Covering on an area of 17 hectares, the hi-tech agricultural experiment was invested by the Center for Information and Advanced Technology Application (the Department of Science and Technology) as an official investor and put into operation in 2015. In addition to research and experimental production, the Center cooperates with enterprises to produce high-quality orchids and lilies; safe vegetables; spirulina; production and processing of edible mushrooms; ... Besides, the experimental zone also applies high intensive techniques such as lighting control, indoor net temperature, membrane technology irrigation, ...

DELCO's farm model, with an area of 6 hectares, was built at the end of 2016 including 4 net houses to plant a Japanese high-quality Kimoji melon, a house to produce hydroponic vegetables and a Thai laying chicken eggs chain. The farm infrastructure is built and designed according to the advanced technology standards of ISRAEL and Japan. Post-harvest products are preserved, packaged, posted up traceability code (QR code) before being supplied to supermarkets and consumers.

After directly visiting and inspecting models, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the efforts of the enterprises in exploring and bravely investing capital, applying advanced science and technology in agricultural production.

The Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee urged the functional departments and localities to continue to pay attention, encourage and create the best conditions for enterprises and in developing hi-tech agricultural production, with high-quality agricultural products, meeting the needs of domestic and export markets, thus contributing to raising the added value and shifting sharply agricultural economic structure of the province.
