Reviewing organization of 15th Anniversary of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs being recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity

Overview of the conference.

According to the Plan, the anniversary will take place at 8:00 P.M. on November 23 at Hall A, Kinh Bac Cultural Center. The Art Exchange Program - Connecting Cultural Heritages, performed in the form of boat performance, will take place at 8:00 P.M. on November 21 at Nguyen Phi Y Lan lake, Suoi Hoa ward, Bac Ninh city.

Up to now, the relevant units are actively implementing assigned tasks such as: propaganda, reception, celebration; completing the script for the art exchange program; deploying the assembly, construction and installation of stages, LED screens, sound, lighting; practicing the anniversary...

Previously, some events in the series of activities to celebrate the anniversary were successfully organized, such as: The First Festival of Typical Quan Ho practicing villages of Bac Ninh province - 2024; Meeting with Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song artisans and artists associated with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Theater; Opening of the Documentary Exhibition "Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs - Quintessence and Identity"; and Bac Ninh Tourism, Cuisine - Craft Village Festival 2024.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the work of celebration, logistics, ensuring security and order, fire prevention, power supply plan as well as a documentary film about 15 years of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi emphasized that the anniversary is an important event bearing the mark of Bac Ninh province. He requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to continue reviewing, tracking, and implementing assigned tasks, ensuring content and quality on schedule, absolutely not allowing any negligence. Especially, they need to focus on the reception of delegates and guests; ensuring medical work, food safety, electricity, environment, urban planning, security and order during the events.

Regarding the documentary film broadcast at the anniversary, the Vice Chairman requested that Bac Ninh Radio and Television Station absorb the opinions of the delegates and add images of the Party, State and provincial leaders associated with Quan Ho events; investment in Quan Ho institutions; integrating cultural development with economic development, investment promotion, etc.

He further requested the media agencies to step up propaganda on mass media about the commemorative activities, continue to promote and introduce the quintessential, unique and special values ​​of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs in particular and the traditional cultural history of the Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac countryside in general, thereby, creating a great spread, attracting and impressing people and tourists to Bac Ninh.
