Seminar on investment cooperation opportunities between Bac Ninh province and Telangana State, India

(BNP) - In the afternoon of December 30, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Telangana State (India) and the Embassy of India in Vietnam held an online seminar to discuss the possibility of cooperation, investment promotion and trade between Bac Ninh province and Telangana State. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and sectors attended the seminar.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. C. Rajasekhar, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India congratulated the outstanding achievements of Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh province in particular in the past time. At the same time, he hoped that Bac Ninh province and Telangana State will create a successful cooperation model for localities between India and Vietnam.

Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Permanent Deputy Minister of Telangana State said that Telangana State has now become the most attractive investment destination of India with more than USD 32 billion from large enterprises in the world, focusing mainly in the fields of such as information technology, electronics, food processing, textiles, space technology... Currently, Telangana State has the largest high-tech industrial park in India with an area of 150,000 hectares; many educational institutions, universities and colleges ensure abundant and high-quality human resources to welcome businesses for investment.

For his part, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan briefed on the province’s overview of cultural traditions, potentials and advantages, especially favorable geographical position. Currently, the province has more than 1,700 FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than USD 21 billion, of which, India has 04 projects with registered capital of USD 35.7 million.

Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee and HCL Technology Group exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding on development and cooperation in information technology training and recruitment of human resources in his business trip to India, he added.

Tuan hoped that the two localities to build a friendly cooperative relationship and be a bridge to introduce businesses to research between the two countries in the coming time. Bac Ninh province will create maximum conditions for Indian investors to enter Bac Ninh as well as promote the bilateral trade relationship between the two sides.

At the seminar, representatives from departments, sectors and businesses of two sides exchanged and shared advantages of investment environment, orientation of information technology development and investment in industrial park infrastructure of Bac Ninh province, strengths in the fields of information technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food processing of Telangana State...
