Socio-economic situation of Bac Ninh province in 2022
In 2022, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2022 (at 2010 constant price) was estimated at VND 142,289.2 billion, up 7.39% compared to 2021; per capita income was VND 65.3 million. The economic structure continued to shift in the right direction, the industry - construction sector accounted for 76.5%; services accounted for 17.2%; product tax accounted for 3.8%; agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 2.5%.
State budget revenue was estimated at VND 30,372 billion, reaching 99.4% of the estimate, of which, domestic revenue was VND 22,772 billion, reaching 97.9% of the estimate; revenue from import and export activities reached VND 7,600 billion, reaching 104.1% of the yearly estimate. Total local budget expenditure was estimated at VND 20,163 billion, up 10.7% compared to the estimate. Total import and export turnover of goods was estimated at USD 91.7 billion, reaching 99.6% of the plan, up 10.2% compared to 2021, of which, goods export was estimated at USD 48.4 billion, up 7.9 %, goods import was estimated at USD 43.3 billion, up 13%.
In terms of education and training, Bac Ninh is the first province in the country in terms of the number of first prizes and the percentage of winning prizes at the National exam for excellent students in 2022, the first time students have participated and won the Silver Medal at International Physics Olympiad, 1 student won the European Physics Olympiad Silver Medal. In terms of labor training, job creation is paid attention to, better meeting the needs of the labor market.
The province has recruited 60,000 people for vocational training, the rate of trained workers reached 77%. Social security work has been implemented practically, timely and effectively, people's life has been continuously improved, many policies have been implemented to support workers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 100% of housing rental support for workers, etc. The rate of poor households decreased to 1.05%, exceeding the plan and decreasing by 0.1% compared to 2021.
For foreign investment attraction: Bac Ninh newly granted 124 projects with total registered investment capital of USD 318.8 million (up 7.8% in number of projects and down 44.3% in capital). Domestic investment attraction: the province newly registered 49 projects with a total investment capital of VND 16,211 billion, (7.5% decrease in number of projects and 15.2% decrease in capital size compared to the same period last year); newly established 2,443 enterprises (up 15%) with registered capital of VND 20,036 billion (down 18% over the same period).
The satisfaction index of people and organizations with the service of state administrative agencies (SIPAS) ranked 7th out of 63 (up 1 place); The PAR Index ranked first in the country; The PCI reached 69.45 points, ranking 7th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 3 places.
