Special commemorative stamp set issued to mark 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan
(BNP) – 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan with a series of notable activities in many fields taking place in both Vietnam and Japan.
The 5th sample is the image of “Chùa Cầu Hội An” (the Japanese Bridge) – a typical architecture of Vietnam – Japan relations. The construction was built by the Japanese in 1593.
Among which, a special commemorative stamp set to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations is issued in Japan. The theme is typical scenes and Vietnamese cultural features such as the Grand Opera House in Hanoi; the lanterns in Hoi An Ancient Town which was recognized as World Cultural Heritage; the modern high-rise buildings in Ho Chi Minh City – a symbol of Vietnam’s economic growth; the sprawling rural landscape in the suburbs and so on.
The stamp set was issued by Japan Post Co., Ltd. on September 21 with an amount of 5 million pieces.
In addition, the Organizing Committee for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam is also implementing a new initiative called “Japan - Viet Nam Street Food Harmony” with the aim of connecting the culinary culture of the two countries. During Vietnamese festivals in many Japanese localities, the artists from both countries will show and perform artistic performances imbued with Japan-Vietnam friendship.
