Bac Ninh province organizes national walking program "Moving forward with Vietnam" at 95 locations

(BNP) - Along with localities across the country, in Bac Ninh, the national walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" co-organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security will be deployed simultaneously from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on August 16, 2025 with 1 provincial-level point and 94 commune and ward points.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2025), National Day on September 2 (September 2, 1945 - 2025), Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - 2025), Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to launch the national walking program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

This large-scale community program is being implemented as the nation transitions into a new phase of development along with the rearrangement of administrative units.

For the first time, a walking event was organized simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities, as well as 3,321 communes, wards, and administrative zones across the country, on the same day and time.

Provincial activities were held at the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Stadium, Bac Giang ward.

In Bac Ninh province, the event was organized by Bac Ninh Provincial Public Security in coordination with the Representative Office of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

The provincial event is held at the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Stadium in Bac Giang ward.  It is expected that 5,000 - 6,000 people, including officials, civil servants, employees, workers from departments, branches, organizations, armed forces, students, businesses, and five communes and wards (Bac Giang, Tan Tien, Tan An, Tan Dinh, and Da Mai), will take part in the approximately 2-kilometer walk on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street in front of the Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Stadium.

The Program will be executed in the remaining 94 communes and wards at the Cultural and Sports Centers or public activity places, depending on the conditions, with each unit sending 300 - 500 participants over a walking path of 2 - 3 kilometers.

The Organizing Committee encourages all classes of people attending the Program to wear red flag shirts with yellow stars and sing the National Anthem in unison according to the time frame of the National Flag Raising Ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere, expressing patriotism and national pride, practically celebrating the country's important Anniversary.


 

With the message "One billion steps into the new era - an action symbolizing solidarity and unity towards a green - clean - sustainable future", the event is a practical activity to celebrate the nation's major holidays, spreading the spirit of solidarity and the aspiration to rise up of Vietnam in the new era. Responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the Movement "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland”; building the habit of walking, contributing to reducing carbon emissions to the environment, thereby, contributing to consolidating the national solidarity bloc, further enhancing the close bond between the police force and the people, building the image of a brave, humane People's Police soldier serving the people.

The event "Moving Forward with Vietnam" is a practical activity in building a healthy living environment, improving physical and mental health, promoting legal propaganda, preventing crime, and building the movement "All people protect national security".

The “Moving Forward with Vietnam” walking program is a completely free community walking activity. The Organizing Committee only accepts registrations on the official information portal: cungvietnamtienbuoc.nhandan.vn./.
