1. Industrial Production Index (IIP) in May increased by 18.98% compared to the same period last year.
The first five months increased by 19.53% compared to the same period last year. Specifically: Electricity production and distribution increased by 9.21%; Water supply increased by 28.2%; Manufacturing industry increased by 19.63%.
2. Agricultural production is favorable, with over 62,000 hectares of rice growing well; lychee, pineapple, and star apple production have yielded positive results, meeting market and export demands. The total lychee production for the province is estimated at over 95,000 tons, with approximately 30,138 tons already sold. Livestock diseases continue to be well controlled, with no outbreaks of dangerous diseases.
3. Total retail sales of goods in May is estimated at VND 10,020 billion, an increase of 17.24% compared to the same period last year.
The first five months of the year are estimated at VND 48,062.9 billion, an increase of 15.14% compared to the same period last year. Service sectors continue to maintain their recovery and development momentum, with most areas experiencing significant growth.
4. Import and export turnover continues to maintain positive growth. Total import and export turnover in May is estimated at USD 18.7 billion; cumulative turnover for the first five months is estimated at USD 85.3 billion. Of which: Export value is estimated at USD 41.8 billion, an increase of 29.02% compared to the same period last year; import value is estimated at USD 43.45 billion, an increase of 38.08% compared to the same period last year.
5. Total state budget revenue for the first five months reached VND 47,141.6 billion, equivalent to 65.2% of the projected budget. 6. In May, the province attracted USD 1,036.48 billion in converted investment capital. The cumulative figure for the first five months reached over US$7.18 billion. Bac Ninh ranked 5th nationwide in FDI attraction.
7. Education and training were implemented effectively. High-quality education continued to achieve many outstanding results. The Bac Ninh provincial student delegation participating in the international competition achieved excellent results with 2 students winning awards.
8. Social welfare work was given attention and implemented well. Policies supporting poor households, people with meritorious services, and the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses were implemented promptly. By the end of May 2026, the province had created 21,351 new jobs, reaching 41% of the annual plan.
9. Administrative reform continued to be emphasized to improve the quality of service to citizens and businesses. The province completed the Project on Classification of Administrative Units; 9. Promote the implementation of digital transformation, building a digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
10. National defense, security, and traffic safety are strengthened. The political security situation and social order and safety are basically stable.
