2023 Open Football Tournament of Tu Son City Education and Training Sector closes

The champion of the Tournament - Coalition of departments and divisions of Tu Son city.

This year’s tournament attracted 8 men’s football teams and 2 women’s football teams from the Military Command, the Department of Education and Training - the Medical Center, the Coalition of departments and divisions and the Coalition of primary and secondary schools in the city. The teams compete in a 7-person field format. In men’s football, the teams were divided into 2 tables, competed in a round-robin tournament, and the First and Second teams of each table would advance to the next round. For women’s football, 2 teams competed in an away match and a home match to determine the First and Second teams of the Tournament.

After 12 days of competition (from December 11 to December 22, 2023), the teams competed 16 matches and scored 41 goals. During the final matches, in men’s football, the Coalition of departments and divisions won against the Coalition of High school 3 with a score of 4-3. For women’s football, the Coalition of Secondary school won 1-0 against the Coalition of Primary school.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded champion cup and medals to the First, Second and Third teams. Some prizes such as best male and female player, top scorer, best goalkeeper, most promising female player, most charming female player and beauty queen were also awarded to individuals.

Held annually, starting in 2022, the Tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22).
