4th Computer Science Competition for Blind in 2024 held
(BNP) - On the morning of September 25, the Provincial Association of the Blind and the Department of Information and Communications jointly organized the 4th Informatics Competition for the Blind in 2024.

The contest attracted 32 contestants who are officials and members of the Association of the Blind of 8 districts, towns, cities, and blind students studying at schools in and outside the province.
The candidates competed in 2 parts: Information Technology (IT) knowledge test directly on the computer and creativity test.
Candidates performed the IT knowledge test on the computer, which tested their knowledge of office informatics, software for the visually impaired, email abilities, and internet searching. The creative test introduced products and software that help the blind in accessing and applying IT in all aspects of life, such as: new software products and applications (finished products) for the blind using computers and smartphones; ideas for software products and applications that help the blind in accessing IT.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to candidate Tran Van Thuong (Gia Binh district) and candidate Luong Thi Tra My (Bac Ninh city); 2 second prizes; 4 third prizes and encouragement prizes.
The contest aims to raise awareness of officials and members of the Association of the Blind at all levels in the province about the important role of IT in work, study and life as well as to train and select excellent candidates to participate in the 3rd National Informatics Contest for the Blind in 2025.
