Bac Ninh pilots OCOP tourism products at 3 locations of craft villages and cultural villages
(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee signed and issued Decision approving the Project "Pilot construction of OCOP tourism products in Bac Ninh province for the period 2023-2025".

According to the Decision, in the period 2023 - 2025, Bac Ninh province invests more than VND 63 billion to build OCOP tourism products at 3 locations of craft villages and cultural villages in the province, according to the principle of the program "Local identity, global quality", specifically: Dong Ho painting craft village in Song Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town; Phu Lang pottery village in Phu Lang commune, Que Vo town; Quan Ho Viem Xa village in Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city.
Bac Ninh province aims to recognize 3 tourism OCOP points by 2024 to reach 3-4 stars, and by 2025 strive to have at least 1 5-star recognition point. Recognize 3-5 typical and outstanding OCOP products of localities implementing pilot construction of community tourism OCOP products, and at the same time completing criteria for advanced new rural communes, models for the period 2021- 2025 in areas where pilot construction of tourism OCOP products will be deployed: Phu Lang commune (Que Vo town), Song Ho commune (Thuan Thanh town).
Along with that, the Project also focuses on training and fostering tourism knowledge for 100% of people, entities, and management staff in localities implementing the pilot development of tourism OCOP products. Investing in upgrading and developing infrastructure, building symbols of craft villages and cultural areas, upgrading and embellishing infrastructure, developing more entertainment spots and display points to sell OCOP products .
From there, promote the initiative, creativity, and active participation of local people in participating in forming community tourism OCOP products in Phu Lang, Dong Ho, Viem Xa and surrounding areas to diversify occupations, improve income; community socio-economic development; forming local consumption and export points for local specialty goods.
