Bac Ninh province deploys tasks in 2024

Under authorization, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan awards the Second Class Independence Medal to Nguyen Van Cu School of Politics.

Attending the Conference were: Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of central agencies; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; representatives from central agencies located in the province; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions and localities.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung affirmed that in 2023, Bac Ninh province has proactively focused on implementing many synchronous solutions, drastically and effectively implementing the year's work theme with many positive results. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) was estimated at VND 126,484 billion; average income per capita reached VND 63.5 million; state budget revenue was estimated at VND 29,345 billion, reaching 92.8% of the estimate. The economic structure is shifting towards a slight increase in the service sector... 

During the year, new investment certificates were issued for 381 FDI projects (an increase of 2.5 times compared to 2022) with a total investment capital of USD 1,104 million.

Bac Ninh urban master plan until 2045 and Bac Ninh province planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 have been approved by the Prime Minister. In addition, the province is also preparing to implement 26 zoning plans to create human resources, spare ground and space for development.

The province has successfully organized many cultural foreign affairs activities and the Quan Ho Festival 2023 program was highly appreciated by public opinion, tourists and people.

The National High School Exam for Excellent Students in the 2022 - 2023 school year is the second consecutive year that Bac Ninh province ranked first nationwide in terms of the percentage of candidates winning prizes; there were 09 students participating in the Regional and International exams in 2023 (the most in the country). In particular, the province had 04 students winning International awards (02 Gold and 02 Bronze Medals) and 05 students winning Regional awards...

The province successfully organized a drill for the Bac Ninh city defense area, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue drills in Yen Phong district in 2023. On the other hand, the province was selected to pilot the construction of a "Traffic Safety Province".

In 2024, the province strives to increase GRDP by 5 - 6%; total import-export turnover increases by 3%; retail revenue of goods and services increases by 6.5%; the province’s total State budget revenue increases by 11.7%; urbanization rate maintains at 60.3%; average income per capita reaches VND 73 million...

At the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Thong, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, former General Secretary of the Central Theoretical Council has thoroughly grasped and implemented the topic "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style on the responsibility of setting an example for officials and party members, contributing to building Bac Ninh province for sustainable development" in 2024 with basic contents.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan acknowledged, congratulated and praised party committee at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, collectives, individuals, the business community and people in the province overcoming difficulties, making efforts, and achieving the positive results, as well as pointed out the remaining limitations, thereby proposing solutions in the coming time.

Regarding the key tasks in 2024, the Secretary requested all levels of Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and branches, sectors, unions and localities to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and overcome difficulties to successfully complete the tasks.

Mr. Tuan believed that with solidarity, effort, determination and a high sense of responsibility at work, Bac Ninh province would confidently overcome challenges and successfully implement the set goals and tasks in 2024.

At the Conference, Nguyen Van Cu School of Politics was honored to receive the Second Class Independence Medal for its exceptionally outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland; 02 individuals with outstanding achievements received the Third Class Labor Medal; many outstanding collectives and individuals were rewarded by the Government, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
