Capital mobilization of banking sector reaches over VND 103 trillion

(BNP) - In the first 6 months, the banking activities in the province were basically stable and ensured the solvency; credit activities are controlled, contributing to controlling inflation, stabilizing macro economy and ensuring social security, promoting local economic development.

Total capital mobilized by the end of June was estimated at VND 103.6 trillion, up 13.4% year-on-year, and up 3.5% compared to the end of 2018. In particular, personal deposits reached VND 66.1 trillion, up 16.7% and 10.4%; deposits of organizations reached VND 34.8 trillion, up 8.7% compared to the same period last year, but down 7.5% compared to the end of 2018.

Total outstanding loans by the end of June fetched VND 82.4 trillion, increasing by 11.2% over the same period last year and up 2.3% compared to the end of 2018. Among which, short-term loans reached VND 50 trillion, up 8% and up 1.1%; medium and long-term loans reached VND 32.4 trillion, up 16.4% and up 4.2%.

Up to now, the banking sector has installed 300 ATMs and paid salary for 2,772 units with 772 thousand personal accounts; installed and operated 1,521 POS machines with the number of POS payment transactions 452 thousand items with sales of VND 1,082 billion.
