Conference on implementation of progress of Ring Road 4 project, section through Bac Ninh province held

(BNP) - On April 4, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired a conference on the implementation of the progress of the investment project to build Ring Road 4 - Hanoi capital region, section through Bac Ninh province.


Overview of the conference.

Participants at the conference were Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee: Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of relevant departments, sectors and localities.

According to the report from the Department of Transport on the implementation progress of the Ring Road 4 project, for component project 1.3, the bidding package for implementing construction items was adjusted to reduce the implementation time from 360 days to 80 days and is expected to select a contractor and start construction in May 2024. The recovery of agricultural land and the relocation of graves were basically completed. 01 resettlement area had its infrastructure completed; 01 area is under construction; the remaining 10 areas are in the zoning planning stage.

For component project 2.3, bidding package no. 14 is under construction; bidding package no. 15 has selected a contractor and is expected to start construction in early April 2024; bidding package no. 16 is selecting a contractor and is expected to be constructed in April - May 2024.

At the conference, delegates exchanged, discussed, and proposed solutions to difficulties and problems of the project such as the slow progress of implementing resettlement projects due to waiting for approved plans; sand sources for treating weak soil roadbeds and construction sand are facing supply difficulties and rising prices.

Based on the delegates’ opinions, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan evaluated and acknowledged that sectors and localities have focused on site clearance and grave moving, ensuring progress and setting requirements.

For common problems and difficulties, the Provincial Steering Committee assigned the Provincial People’s Committee to direct the Steering Committee's assisting team to periodically hold meetings every 2 weeks to urge and solve problems for relevant localities.
