Seminar on Business connection held in Korea
(BNP) – On November 9, Bac Ninh province, the Vietnamese Embassy to Korea, Shinhan Bank, and Viglacera Corporation jointly held a seminar on Korean business connection.
Overview of the Seminar.
Participants at the seminar were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Nguyen Vu Tung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Vietnam; leaders of the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health); members of the Bac Ninh Provincial Delegation; and more than 20 Korean businesses.
Addressing at the seminar, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea has grown strongly and significantly with many significant achievements. The two countries have become each other's most important partners in many fields. Bac Ninh province is constantly interested in promoting economic cooperation and investment promotion with Korean partners.

Tuan also said that Korea is the country with the greatest investment capital scale among the 39 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh province, with 960 projects totaling investment capital of about USD 14.34 billion, accounting for 60% of the province's total foreign investment capital. Typical projects include Samsung Group, Amkor, Hyosung, Intops, Hanwha Techwin, etc. These projects have fostered high investment efficiency, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development and social welfare.
For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung affirmed that Bac Ninh is that locality that open the way of Korean investment into Vietnam in the field of electronic industry with a mobile device manufacturing project licensed by Samsung Electronics in 2008 and has since become the locality that attracts the most FDI capital from Korea. Especially, during the COVID-19 outbreak Bac Ninh became a bright spot in attraction and cooperation of Korean FDI by successfully attracting the largest semiconductor packaging project in the Northern region from Amkor Technology...
As a bridge to promote cooperation, the Vietnamese Embassy to Korea commited to always accompanying and connecting Korean businesses in the business process in Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh province in particular.

Closing speech of the seminar, the Secretary emphasized that Bac Ninh province's goal for the future is investment attraction associated with sustainable development; encouragement of links between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises with an aim to increasing the localization rate in products. He also hoped that large corporations and small and medium-sized Korean enterprises would continue investing in Bac Ninh province. The province committed to always accompanying and facilitating the businesses for the process of researching and investing in Bac Ninh with the highest responsibility, Tuan added.
The Secretary also respectfully sent an invitation to all Korean businesses to arrange time to visit Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac in the coming time.
