Signing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province and Daegu City Government – South Korea

(BNP) – From September 18th to September 21st, 2018, a Delegation of Bac Ninh province’ senior executive  led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee visited and worked in the South Korea. Joining the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee Commission for Propaganda and Training, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Health, Provincial Industrial Zones Authority and some relevant units.

At the City Hall of Daegu city, delegation of Bac Ninh province’ senior executive had a working session with met with the Daegu City Government. Welcoming and receiving Bac Ninh delegation were Mr. Lee Seung Ho - Deputy Mayor of Daegu city, representatives from some departments and relevant agencies of Daegu City Government.

In the view of strengthening the understanding, friendly relation and cooperation between the government and people of Vietnam and the South Korea, the two sides informed and exchanged their socio-economic situation and cultural features of each locality. Daegu City is located in the southeastern of Korean Peninsula with an area of 883.56 km2 and 2.51 million residents, economic of scale ranked third in Korea. The City has strengths in some fields such as industry and health services; energy industry, machinery manufacturing and automobile production; irrigation industry; wastewater treatment; smart city platform construction. The city has partnerships with many big cities in the world such as Kobe (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang (Vietnam)…

On behalf of People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and the Daegu City Government, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong and Deputy Mayor Lee Seung Ho signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation and exchanges in fields such as health, investment, education, environment, textile, smart city construction, technology transfer and so on. When necessary, the two sides will carry out series of visit to exchange related issues as well as promote friendly exchanges and share experiences. Besides, the two sides should prepare the necessary conditions for the signing of official cooperation agreement between Daegu City and Bac Ninh province in the coming time.

On behalf of Bac Ninh province’s leader, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Nguyen Huu Quat expressed his hope to get attention, cooperation and support from Daegu city in some fields such as wastewater treatment, intelligent city construction, tourism development cooperation, high quality human resources training for health… in the coming time.

In the forth coming time, Bac Ninh General Hospital and Kyungpook National University Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on building partnerships in the field of health service, exchanging information and documents, training human resources for health workers and supporting technology in the health sector.

Besides, delegation of Bac Ninh province’ senior executive visited the Daegu 3D Medical and Image Technology Center; Duk Young Dental Hospital, Daegu Environmental Group with Garbage, Solid Waste and Waste Water Treatment Plants, Smart City Foundation Center…
