The investment project to build Ngo Xa pumping station is invested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, including: a focal pumping station with 5 units, designed capacity of 1,600m3/h, a system of canals, dyke culvert, operator, ancillary works...with a total estimated budget of nearly VND 500 billion.

The project is expected to start construction at the end of 2022. When pumping station completed and put into operation, it will meet the drainage needs of more than 1,800 hectares of arable land and prevent local flooding for some residential areas and urban areas in Thuan Thanh district, contributing to the completion of the irrigation system in the province as well as the North - Hung - Hai irrigation system.

Mr. Tuan highly appreciated the importance of the project. At the same time, he assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with the investor to urgently implement and ensure the progress.

He furrther assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Provincial Standing Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council on investment policies and funding sources for project implementation within the province's content. Thuan Thanh District People's Committee works with investors and relevant sectors to widely inform, create consensus, and reach a high level of consensus for households with recovered agricultural land, ensuring handover of project construction sites as planned, Tuan added.
