Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the program "Giving Health to Workers - For a Healthy Vietnam" is a practical activity aimed at concretizing Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo and Directive No. 17 of the Prime Minister on people's health care.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, delivers a speech at the Festival.

According to Nguyen Anh Tuan, trade unions at all levels have recently made significant efforts to care for workers’ health, improve working conditions, and prevent occupational accidents and diseases.

The Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor stated that the program is being implemented with three key objectives: raising awareness of preventive healthcare and promoting healthy lifestyles; placing workers’ health at the center of the development process; and mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, businesses, and employers in caring for workers’ health.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, delivers a speech at the Festival.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai emphasized that Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection, care, and improvement of public health sets the target that, from 2026 onward, people will receive free periodic health check-ups or screenings at least once a year. He noted that the “Giving Health to Workers – For a Healthy Vietnam” program organized in Bac Ninh is a practical effort to realize this policy while spreading the message that workers’ health is a valuable asset for businesses and an important resource for local development.

The leaders visit and encourage the medical staff and workers at the event.

According to Bac Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai, Bac Ninh is currently one of the leading dynamic industrial centers in the country with over 800,000 workers, including more than 600,000 trade union members. To improve the quality of healthcare for workers, the province is committed to continuing to consider the care and protection of workers' health as a regular and long-term political task linked to socio-economic development goals; and is determined to work with the whole country to achieve the target of 50% of eligible individuals receiving free periodic health check-ups by the second quarter of 2026, in accordance with Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo and the conclusions of the Central Party Secretariat.

The province will continue to bring healthcare services directly to factories, industrial zones, and workers' dormitories; accelerate the implementation of social housing projects with the goal of completing more than 20,000 units in 2026; and develop a comprehensive system of trade union institutions, grassroots healthcare facilities, and cultural and sports facilities to serve workers. Bac Ninh will also strengthen propaganda and raise awareness among businesses and employers about the role of workers' healthcare; considering this a crucial factor contributing to increased labor productivity, production and business efficiency, and sustainable enterprise development.

Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan and Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai present gifts to workers.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 110 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, affected by illness, work accidents, or with special family situations.
