(BNP) - The Ministry of Construction has just issued a Decision announcing the List of Inland Container Depots in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction announced a list of 19 inland container depots (ICDs) nationwide, distributed in many key logistics locations. Some typical inland container depots include: Dong Pho Moi Inland Container Depot (Lao Cai), Km3+4 Mong Cai Inland Container Depot (Quang Ninh), the inland container depot system in Hai Phong, inland container depots in Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh.
This list includes major inland container depots such as Tan Cang Hai Phong, Nam Dinh Vu, Tan Cang Que Vo, Tien Son, Long Bien, Phuc Loc, Nhon Trach, Long Binh, Cai Mep, Thanh Phuoc, Tan Cang - Moc Bai… contributing to the formation of an inter-regional logistics network, connecting industrial zones, border gates, and seaports.
According to the Decision, the Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterways Administration is responsible for organizing and implementing the state management function for the inland port system in accordance with current laws. Relevant agencies and units are responsible for implementation.
The publication of the list of inland ports is expected to contribute to the completion of the logistics infrastructure system, enhance transportation capacity, reduce pressure on seaports, and promote socio-economic development in localities.
