(BNP) - This was the directive given by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Qunag Khai at the Conference on summarizing the work of 2025 and outlining the direction and tasks for 2026 of the Agriculture and Environment sector, held on the afternoon of December 25th.
Authorized by Prime Minister, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai presents the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation to the individuals.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment's report, the sector's overall growth rate in 2025 is expected to be 4.39%, exceeding the goal by 1.4%. Agricultural production focused on integrated multi-value production, with more models combining tourism and agricultural development. Crop and livestock productivity met quality standards, product quality and supplies are rigorously managed, and irrigation systems are generally safe, and so on.

In 2026, the agriculture and environment sector plans for a 1.5% growth rate in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, with an output value of 142 million VND per hectare. The goal is to have 10 communes achieving new rural standards (according to the criteria set for the 2026-2030 period); an additional 80 products achieving OCOP status; a poverty rate (based on the projected standards for the 2026-2030 period) of 0.56%; 77.5% of rural residents having access to clean water that meets standards; a forest cover rate of 30.9%; 96% of household solid waste collected and treated according to regulations; and 92% of production and business establishments meeting environmental standards.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai praised the results and achievements of the Agriculture and Environment sector in 2025. He requested the Department to proactively advise and implement plans in 2026; focus on restructuring the agricultural sector towards green, organic, circular agriculture, and protecting the ecological environment; promote the application of high technology and digital transformation in agriculture; consolidate and improve the efficiency of agricultural cooperatives, and develop agricultural cooperatives linked to the province's key, distinctive, and potential products, OCOP products, etc.

On this occasion, 01 individual of the Department of Agriculture and Environment received the Third-Class Labor Medal by the President; 05 individuals received Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister; 12 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Agriculture and Environment; 02 individuals nominated for the Third-Class Labor Medal; 20 collectives and individuals nominated for Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee; and many individuals and collectives received Certificates of Commendation from the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
