(BNP) – On the morning of July 8, Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huu Nam received and worked with a delegation of the Global Civic Sharing (GCS) of Korea led by Mr. Lee Jacho, General Director of Samsung E&A Vietnam.

GCS is a Korean non-governmental organization with a license to operate in Vietnam since 1998. It has been implementing many programs and projects to develop rural communities such as investing in construction of rural infrastructure; projects to increase people's income; exchange programs with Korean volunteer students; improving the educational environment at the primary and secondary levels in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Ha Nam, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong...

At the meeting, a GCS representative said that in 2025, GCS plans to carry out the "Samsung E&A Hope Together Library" project at 1 secondary school in Bac Ninh province with an estimated budget of about VND 1.1 billion sponsored by Samsung Korea Mechanical Company. Among which, GCS will support school library equipment and train librarians to improve their library management skills. At the same time, it will hold a Book Emotional Writing Contest for students as well as educate them on the habit and benefits of reading books.
GCS and the sponsor expressed their hope to receive attention from the province in the organization's expansion of operations and implementation of the "Samsung E&A Hope Together Library" project in Bac Ninh, thereby contributing to improving the local learning and educational environment.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Chief Le Huu Nam said that Samsung Company has recently had many social welfare activities in the locality, especially in the field of education.

He requested GCS to quickly carry out procedures to add an area of operation in Bac Ninh province according to regulations. The Provincial People's Committee Office would support and guide the procedures in accordance with regulations so that the project can be implemented in the most favorable way.
The Deputy Chief further hoped that GCS, Samsung Company and sponsors would continue to implement more projects in Bac Ninh, thereby contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.
