Standing Vice Chairman of National Assembly Do Van Chien and Bac Ninh provincial leaders visit and present gifts to policy beneficiary families and poor households in Bac Giang ward

(BNP) - On the morning of January 29th, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and those in difficult circumstances in Bac Giang ward, Bac Ninh province, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse).

Provincial leaders joining the delegation were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son; Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Ha; Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Tran Thi Van; Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Tran Van Tuan.

Speaking at the program, NA’s Standing Vice Chairman Do Van Chien extended New Year greetings to policy beneficiary families, former revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy, veterans, and poor households in Bac Ninh province, wishing them abundant health, happiness, and family prosperity in the Year of the Horse 2026.

He affirmed that the Party and the State have always consistently maintained the view that people are at the center of development, and that caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially policy beneficiaries, meritorious individuals, and vulnerable groups, is a regular and long-term task of the entire political system.

Chien expressed his wish that the veterans would continue to uphold the qualities and traditions of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," maintain their will and courage, and serve as shining examples to educate their children and grandchildren to abide by the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and actively participate in production and contribute to the development of their homeland.

Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai presents Tet gifts to families entitled to preferential policies in Bac Giang ward.

The Standing Vice Chairman acknowledged and highly appreciated Bac Ninh province's efforts in socio-economic development while ensuring social security. He also requested that Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front at all levels, and other mass organizations continue to pay attention to and thoroughly review all policy beneficiaries, providing timely support to ensure no one is left behind, especially during the upcoming Tet holiday.

In Bac Giang ward, Standing Vice Chairman Do Van Chien and the provincial leaders presented 263 gifts to the Association of Revolutionary Soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy in Bac Ninh province; and 31 gifts to veterans of the De Tham Regiment in Bac Ninh province. On this occasion, the delegation also presented 48 gifts to poor households in Bac Giang ward.
