Thematic Talk “Entering Nation’s Era of Rise with Books” at Ngo Si Lien High School

(BNP) – On the morning of March 24, Bac Ninh Library No. 1 under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang Ward), organized a thematic talk titled “Entering the Nation’s Era of Rise with Books.” The event was attended by representatives from the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Education and Training; the Provincial Public Security and the People’s Committee of Bac Giang Ward.

At the thematic session, students of Ngo Si Lien High School had the opportunity to listen to Dr. Vu Duong Thuy Nga, former Director General of the Library Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She shared insights into the values that books bring, emphasizing the role of books as “silent teachers” that help individuals expand their knowledge, develop critical thinking, and shape their character.

The talk took place in a lively atmosphere, aiming to promote reading culture and inspire a spirit of self-learning and knowledge enrichment among the younger generation. Through practical stories and vivid examples of successful individuals who benefited from reading, the program strongly inspired students. Many expressed enthusiasm and a deeper awareness of the importance of reading in the context of the country entering a new phase of development - the era of digital transformation and global integration.

In addition, the school encouraged students to build a daily reading habit, choose appropriate books, and apply knowledge gained from reading to both their studies and daily life. This activity is considered a practical solution to improving the overall quality of education.

The thematic talk not only contributed to promoting the reading movement within the school but also reaffirmed the role of knowledge in the nation’s strong rise. Accordingly, each student is expected to become a dynamic and creative citizen, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
