(BNP) - On the evening of November 26, in Hanoi, the Lao Embassy in Vietnam solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on December 2 (1975 -2025).

Attending the ceremony were President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang. Vice President of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and provinces and cities across the country.

In the solemn atmosphere of the anniversary, messages regarding Vietnam and Laos' strong friendship, exceptional solidarity, and extensive collaboration were underlined. Over the last 50 years, the two countries have always stood side by side in pivotal moments of history. From the trenches of resistance to the labor of creating and defending the country, the Vietnam-Laos partnership has become a unique and exceptional model around the world.
Leaders from both countries regard this relationship as a priceless asset that has been nurtured over many generations by blood, sweat, and intelligence. In an era of significant international integration, this concept must be vigorously pushed, becoming a driving force for economic, commercial, security, cultural, and educational collaboration.
Many bilateral cooperation arrangements have shown clear outcomes. Two-way trade has continuously increased; Vietnam's investment projects in Laos are consistently among the largest; the two nations work closely together to ensure border security, crime prevention, and people-to-people exchanges. Every year, thousands of Lao students are trained in Vietnam, forming an important cadre force that contributes to Laos' development.
Vice President Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her belief that Laos would continue to gain many new achievements in the renovation process, building a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos on the path of socialism.

In recent years, Bac Ninh province has implemented many practical support programs for the two twin provinces of Bac Giang (old) - Xay Som Bun and Bac Ninh (old) - Hua Phan. Bac Ninh province has a program to receive Lao students on scholarships, creating conditions for students from Xay Som Bun province to study in the fields of agriculture, medicine, engineering, state management, etc.
Not only supporting training in Vietnam, Bac Ninh province also regularly sends expert delegations to Laos to help improve the professional skills of its staff, from agricultural and forestry management, public health, administrative reform to the application of digital technology in management. Some civil works supported by Bac Ninh province such as: Construction of medical stations, kindergartens, clean water supply works... have contributed to significantly improving the quality of life of local people...
