17th Traditional Quan Ho Singing Exchange of Bac Ninh City held

Leader of the Propaganda Department of Bac Ninh City Party Committee awards Certificates of Merit to the brothers and sisters.

This is one of the city's practical activities to preserve and promote the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs and is also part of a series of cultural, artistic, and sports activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Bac Ninh City (August 8, 1954 - 2024).

At the program, the brothers and sisters from Quan Ho clubs brought to the audience many unique and impressive Quan Ho folk songs such as "Ba quan,"  "Ngoi tua song dao,"  "Em la con gai Bac Ninh,"  "Mung lang tien si Kim Doi" (Ly cay da), "Cay da quan doc,"  "Ban tinh oi,"  "Gui ve quan ho,"

Through the smooth and soulful Quan Ho melodies, many people, especially the young generation, have a deeper understanding of the origin, cultural customs, manners, and rules of a traditional Quan Ho singing session as well as the costumes and ways of playing Quan Ho of Bac Ninh-Kinh Bac people. From there, it contributes to nurturing the love, preserving, and passing on through generations the unique and distinctive cultural values of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Heritage to last forever and spread.

On this occasion, 14 brothers and sisters singers were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Bac Ninh City People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the expanded Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Competition Giap Thin Spring in 2024.
