25th anniversary of Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign

Over the past 25 years, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has become an annual activity, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism and responsibility of young people, contributing to creating good values ​​for the community. Each Campaign is not only a place to connect millions of hearts with the same volunteer beat, but also a symbol of will, enthusiasm, and the same goal for community life. In the period of 2000-2024, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has promoted the implementation of volunteer activities associated with the actual conditions of units and localities. Up to now, the whole province has carried out more than 8,500 youth projects and tasks, with a total value of more than VND 50 billion.

The 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign was implemented with 1 program "Supporting the Exam Season," and 4 campaigns: "Green Summer,"  "Red Flamboyant,"  "Green March," and "Pink Vacation,"  taking place in 3 months (from June to August). Since the beginning of the campaign, the whole province has mobilized more than 336 youth volunteer teams, with 8,000 youth union members participating; built 5 "Youth Shelters" projects; built 10 km of power lines in the "Lighting up the countryside roads" movement; built 6 children's playgrounds and inflatable volleyball sports areas; inaugurated 14 "Speed Bump" projects; installed 30 "Traffic Safety School Gate Camera" projects..., with a total value of resources contributed to society of VND 4.3 billion.

At the program, the Provincial Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the Summer Youth Campaign for the period 2000 - 2024; and 11 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Summer Youth Campaign in 2024.

Within the framework of the program, the Provincial Youth Union launched the Contest "Bac Ninh Youth Build a Traffic Safety Province" in 2024; awarded prizes in the Contest "OCOP Colors and Traditional Craft Products of Bac Ninh Province" in 2024 and the Contest for Bac Ninh Youth on Civilized Behavior in Cyberspace. At the same time, District, Town, City Youth Unions and affiliated Youth Unions received Vietnam Maps.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union and its partners presented 20 gifts to disadvantaged children in Gia Binh district. They also handed over the project “Lighting up the Countryside Roads” with a length of 7.2m to 3 communes of Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts, with a total cost of nearly VND 200 million.

Also this morning, the Provincial Youth Union organized the Youth Festival with Traffic Culture in 2024.

The festival took place with a series of activities: Parade, propaganda about traffic safety on the roads; propaganda about traffic safety law; organization of safe driving training for 500 students and youth union members in Gia Binh district; changing oil, free vehicle maintenance for people; inauguration of the "Traffic Safety School Gate Camera" project at Le Van Thinh High School and the "Lighting up the Country Roads" project in Nghia Thang village, Dong Cuu commune (Gia Binh district).
