27th Nagakawa Running Tournament - Bac Ninh Newspaper Cup opens

(BNP) – In the morning of March 19, at the square of Kinh Bac Cultural Center (Bac Ninh city), Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Bac Ninh Newspaper, Department of Education and Training, Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Public Security jointly organized the 27th Nagakawa Running Tournament - Bac Ninh Newspaper Cup in 2023 under the theme “Heath for working and national defense”.

The 27th Nagakawa Running Tournament - Bac Ninh Newspaper Cup in 2023 under the theme “Heath for working and national defense” is one of the practical activities in response to the "Olympic Running Day for the People's Health" in 2023; promoting the movement "All people practice following the great Uncle Ho's example"... Thereby, contributing to improving people's physical health, building  healthy lifestyle and cultural environment.

This year's tournament consists of 2 events: Running to praise force and cross-country running. In which, the content of running to praise force had the participation of nearly 2,000 people.

Participating in the cross-country running content, there were 181 athletes from 11 units including: 08 districts and cities in the province; Provincial public security; 229th Brigade; People's Police Technical Logistics University. The athletes competed in 4 events: men’s champion with the distance of 5,000 m, women’s champion (3,000 m), young men (3,000 m) and young women (2,500 m).

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the Cup and the first prize of the whole delegation to Yen Phong district unit, the second prize to Bac Ninh city and the third prize to Gia Binh district. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded team prizes and individual prizes in each competition content to excellent athletes.
