Bac Ninh delegation offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs in Quang Tri
(BNP) - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022), a delegation of Bac Ninh province’s leaders led by Mrs. Dao Hong Lan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Acting Minister of Health, Head of the province’s National Assembly deputies' delegation, former Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee on July offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Special National Monument Quang Tri Ancient Citadel (Quang Tri Province).

Joining the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Permanent People's Council, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and a number of relevant departments and sectors.
Bac Ninh delegation offered incense and flowers at the Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery and Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery to commemorate heroic martyrs, among them, there are excellent children of Bac Ninh homeland.
The Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery is located next to Highway 9 on a hilly area in IV ward, Dong Ha city, is the resting place for more than a thousand of martyrs across the country who heroically sacrificed themselves for the cause of national independence and reunification.
The Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery is located on Ben Tat hill, next to National Highway 15 in Vinh Tuong commune, Gio Linh district, is the resting place for more than 10,0 martyrs nationwide who died on the legendary Truong Son trail during the anti-US resistance war. 257 of them were from Bac Ninh province.
With the principle of "drinking water, remember the source", this year, Bac Ninh province, Bac Giang province and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs jointly repaired the graves of heroic martyrs in the Ha Bac area.
The delegation also offered incense and flowers to commemorate the merits of the heroic martyrs in the ancient citadel of Quang Tri.
The delegates spent solemn minutes to commemorate and expressed their deep gratitude to war heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the national independence.
In front of the hallowed memorial to the heroic martyrs, the leaders vowed to do their utmost to build Bac Ninh more prosperously and modernly.
