Bac Ninh ranks 3rd at 2024 National Classical and Freestyle Wrestling Championship

(BNP) - The 2024 National Classical and Freestyle Wrestling Championship took place from October 5 to 15 in Nam Dinh province.

The tournament attracted the participation of more than 240 athletes from 19 provinces, cities and sectors across the country. The athletes competed in many categories: classical wrestling from 48-130kg; men's freestyle wrestling from 50-125kg; women's freestyle wrestling from 44-76kg.

Bac Ninh delegation had 20 athletes and won 15 medals of all kinds, including: 3 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. The team ranked 3rd of the whole delegation and 3rd in the classical wrestling category. Gold medals went to athletes: Tran Thi Anh, women's freestyle wrestling, 59kg; Nguyen Trong Nam, classical wrestling, 55kg; Nguyen Van Bao, classical wrestling, 130kg.
