2024 National Badminton Tournament for Excellent Players opens
(BNP) - On October 13, the Committee for Physical Training and Sports (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the Vietnam Badminton Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism jointly organized the 2024 National Badminton Tournament for Excellent Players at Center Bac Ninh Hotel (Bac Ninh city).

The tournament attracted 121 top male and female players in Vietnam from 18 provinces, cities and sectors with strong badminton movements in the country including: Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Dien Bien, Dong Nai, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tien Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thua Thien Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, the Army and the People’s Police. The athletes competed in 5 events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
This is an opportunity for athletes and coaches to study, gain experience, improve organization, training and competition. At the same time, it helps discover, select and supplement athletes for the national team to participate in international badminton tournaments. The tournament contributes to the development of badminton in the province, thereby, promoting the image of Bac Ninh province as dynamic, creative, developed, rich in cultural identity to domestic and international friends and tourists.
As planned, the tournament matches will take place from October 14 to October 19 at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
