Celebration of 60th anniversary of Vietnam’s tourism industry
(BNP) - On July 4, at Muong Thanh Hotel (Bac Ninh City), Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam's Tourism Industry (July 9, 1960 - 2020).

At the meeting, participants reviewed the 60-year tradition of construction and development of Vietnam’s Tourism Industry in general and Bac Ninh’s tourism in particular. Thanks to rich and valuable cultural heritage system, Bac Ninh has become an attractive destination, attracting a large number of domestic and international visitors.
The province now has nearly 700 tourism business units, increasing nearly 27 times compared to 2001. In 2019, total tourism revenue was estimated at VND 1.1 trillion. Bac Ninh’s Tourism Industry is solving and creating regular jobs for 4,700 direct workers and 12,000 indirect workers.
In the coming time, Bac Ninh’s Tourism industry would continue to complete and develop tourism services, utilities and products; invest tourism infrastructure, basic material and technical facilities towards modernization and professionalism, thereby, making Bac Ninh tourism become an important economic sector in the province's socio-economic development strategy as well as is an attractive cultural and ecological tourist destination of the Red River Delta region and the country. Striving to 2030, the province will welcome over 7 million tourists with a total revenue of about VND 10 trillion.
On this occasion, teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in tourism activities receive the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee.
