Chairman of Provincial People's Committee receives the Korean business delegation
(BNP) - On September 19, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee received and worked with Mr. Son Myung Ik, Chairman of Sungho Group and Mr. Juyoung Jeong, Chairman of Miraein Group to explore investment opportunities in the province.

According to Mr. Son Myung Ik, Sungho is a big Korean corporation with 25 years of operation in the field of processing steel and implementing environmental protection projects, especially solid waste treatment; Miraein Group operates in the field of real estate, specializing in the construction of resorts, hotels, luxury apartments, utilities.
Korean enterprises hoped Bac Ninh leader would create conditions for Sungho and Miraein to provide solutions in waste treatment, electricity generation waste incineration, and steel production supplying auto parts, at the same time, providing and supporting modern real estate construction techniques in the province.
For his part, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh briefed guests on outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development. With a favorable geopolitical location and open investment policy, Bac Ninh is now one of the fastest-growing localities with many indicators in the top of the country. The size of the economy ranks the fourth, the export value ranks the second nationwide, attracting over 1,300 FDI enterprises from 33 countries and territories with a total investment of more than USD18 billion, of which the largest is Korean businesses with over 12 billion USD of total investment.
Furthermore, Bac Ninh is rich in culture and revolutionary tradition and well-known for a number of cultural and historical relics and traditional festival. In particular, it is also the root of the Ly dynasty - the origin of the Lee family in Korea. Based on that good traditional relationship, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee hoped this would be a link to open up investment opportunities for the two sides.
Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh affirmed that, along with economic development, Bac Ninh province paid special attention to and encourage partners to invest in waste treatment, ensuring environmental friendliness. Bac Ninh leader also assigned Industrial Zones Authority to assist enterprises in investment promotion in the province./.
