Participants at the conference were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Huong Giang; Consul General of Vietnam in Shanghai Nguyen The Tung; members of the Bac Ninh provincial delegation and nearly 400 Chinese businesses. 
The conference aimed to introduce and promote the Bac Ninh's investment environment, favorable policies, investment attraction as well as promises and support to Chinese businesses.

Overview of the Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang emphasized that, on the basis of the growing comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, Bac Ninh province always focused on promoting cooperation with Chinese partners.

Among which, Suzhou is one of China's most prosperous cities with large industrial parks, seaports, and advanced manufacturing infrastructure with high-tech factories and enterprises and beautiful landscapes along with a vibrant workforce for economic development, thereby, contributing to developing economy and becoming a driving force for innovation in China.

The development of Suzhou city is directly related to the growth of China's satellite cities, particularly Kunshan, Taishang, and Zhangjiagang. Furthermore, Suzhou is an attractive location for foreign investment. Suzhou's foreign direct investment (FDI) capital has grown quickly in recent years as a result of its good location, stable industrial base, acceptable production costs…

Suzhou specialized in primary industries like iron and steel but over the years, it has become less reliant on raw material (primary industries) and shifted more towards manufacturing (secondary industries) and modern services (tertiary industry). Manufacturing accounts for a large proportion of Suzhou's GDP, with electrical equipment, automobiles and telecommunications among the key sectors.

At the Conference, Giang briefed on the province’s potential, strengths, preferential mechanisms and policies in investment attraction. She emphasized that choosing Bac Ninh as a destination for Chinese businesses to explore investment opportunities is the right direction, creating many opportunities and potential for cooperation and development. She believed that Bac Ninh and Suzhou in particular, and other Chinese localities in general would always be trusted partners to share and overcome obstacles and challenges.

In his remarks to open the conference, Vietnamese Consul General in Shanghai Nguyen The Tung highly appreciated and encouraged the outstanding achievements on the province’s socio-economic development, which have made significant contributions to Vietnam's overall development. It is a destination for many of the world's largest organizations and businesses, including many Chinese businesses.

Through this investment promotion conference, businesses of Suzhou city could learn about the advantages and potential of business and investment in Bac Ninh, thereby contributing to actively promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai would work closely with government agencies and business communities in both countries to actively implement common awareness of senior leaders, thus striving to bring cooperation between the two countries to new heights.

Furthermore, investors also shared and introduced the  businesses' operations and production scale as well as valued the investment environment with many favorable policies of Vietnam in general, and Bac Ninh province in particular.

Mr. Liu Xiaolong, Director of Suzhou Yuto Printing Packing Co.,Ltd - a leading packaging enterprise in China that has successfully invested in Bac Ninh province, shared that Yuto Group has chosen to invest and establish a factory in Bac Ninh since 2010 because it has a transparent government system, flexible policies, clear geographical advantages, convenient transportation, and a large market. With comprehensive assistance and attentive public services, the Group has expanded production to many factories in Bac Ninh province, from only two factories when it was first established. The Group hoped that it would be able to keep up with the rapid development of Bac Ninh province while also growing stronger in Bac Ninh as well as Vietnam in the future.

Speaking at the conference's conclusion, the Chairwoman emphasized that Bac Ninh province would continue to seek investment to become Vietnam's premier center for complete electronics manufacturing, and to be the main driving force for economic growth with industrial and high-tech development zones in the coming time.

Bac Ninh province pledged to significantly improve the business investment environment, create favorable business environment, and ensure security and safety for investors as well as accompany, facilitate and provide the most active support for investors when they invest in Bac Ninh, Giang added.
