Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lao PDR in Vietnam

(BNP) – On the occasion of attending the the 60th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962 - 2022) and 45 years of the the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - 2022), Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang on August received and worked with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (DPRK) in Vietnam Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nuong.

At the meeting, Giang briefed on the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of the province over the past time with many indicators among the top of the country.

She also quickly informed about the results of the business trip in Lao PDR, especially the signing of the cooperation Memorandum of Understanding for the period of 2022 - 2025, the handover of a number of infrastructure projects supported by Bac Ninh province for Houaphanh province; the organization of performances to advertise Quan Ho folk songs and strengthen cooperation relations with some localities of Laos in June.

Giang hoped that in his trip work in Vietnam, the Ambassador would join hands to cultivate the friendship between Vietnam and Laos as well as the stronger localities.

For his part, Ambassador Seng-Phet Hung-Bun-Nuong sincerely thanked for the respectful reception of Bac Ninh’s leaders and congratulated and highly appreciated the achievements of Bac Ninh province in the fields.

He wished that Bac Ninh province would strengthen foreign exchange activities between Bac Ninh province and Houaphanh province as well as other localities of Laos, thereby, tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, especially the close relationship between Bac Ninh and Laos and Bac Ninh and Houaphanh provinces in particular.
