Gia Binh district wins the first place at the 8th Bac Ninh Sports Festival

(BNP) - Que Vo district won gold medal at the men's football tournament, officially closing 14 games in the program of the 8th Bac Ninh Sports Festival in 2018.

Chinese chess is one of 14 games at the 8th Bac Ninh Sports Festival in 2018.

The 8th Bac Ninh Sports Festival in 2018 consisted of 14 games including freestyle wrestling, national wrestling, cross country, athletics, chess, Chinese chess, table tennis, shuttlecock kicking, karate, traditional martial arts, tennis, football, volleyball, badminton, with the participation of nearly 1,400 athletes from 8 districts, town, city and public security sector.

At the end of the Festival, Gia Binh district won the first place in the total number of medals with 77 medals (27 gold medals, 20 silver medals, 30 bronze medals); Que Vo district ranked the second place with 62 medals (23 gold medals, 16 silver medals, 23 bronze medals). Thuan Thanh ranked the third with 63 medals (19 gold medals, 28 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals); Tien Du district, Thuan Thanh district, Tu Son town, Bac Ninh city and Luong Tai district respectively ranked the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th.

Results of the Provincial Sports Festival will be the condition to select athletes participating in the provincial team in order to take part in the 8th National Sports Festival, which will take place in Hanoi from November 25th to December 14th 2018. Bac Ninh province also send 90 athletes and 20 coaches to compete in 10 among 36 games of the festival including wrestling, Judo, fencing, karate, boxing, wushu, chess, weightlifting, badminton and golf (socializing sport with an aim to wining from 6 to 7 gold medals.
