Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 opens

Participants at the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of the People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.

Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan awards the third prize of the Traffic Safety Propaganda Press Award organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee to the group of authors of Bac Ninh Newspaper.

The Festival has gathered more than 100 newspaper and magazine publications from central newspaper agencies and magazines, local Party newspapers nationwide and nearly 20 publications of local departments, branches, sectors and localities. At the Festival, more than 4,000 copies of books, newspapers, and magazines were displayed and divided into four areas: Spring newspaper and magazine display area; document display area about Bac Ninh culture and people; an area displaying documents about festivals and customs; document display area about the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

This is not only an opportunity to honor the strong development of journalism and communication, but also an opportunity to increase exchanges and meetings between journalists and the public, thereby encouraging press agencies and journalist teams to continue improving the quality of journalistic works, for a united, professional, modern and humane Vietnamese press.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, the Provincial Journalists Association awarded prizes to works that won the Journalism Award on the topic "Party Building" and the Journalism Award "Joining hands to protect the environment".

On this occasion, authors and their groups from press agencies in the province were awarded the Journalism Award for Traffic Safety Propaganda organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee and the National Press Award for the Vietnam Education Industry organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
